Has anyone every tried and made money from the following? and if so how much and is it really legal?

30th September

Turn $6 into thousands

Make Money with your Paypal account as shown on Oprah!

IMPORTANT: This is not a rip-off; it is not indecent; it is not illegal; and it is virtually no risk-it really works! If all of the following instructions are adhered to, you will receive
extraordinary dividends.

Follow these directions EXACTLY, and $20,000 or more can be yours in 4 to 6 weeks.

This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants.

Please continue its success by carefully adhering to the instructions.

A FEW LEGAL TIPS:
You are starting a Mailing List
File your responses alphabetically everyday. If you have a computer, all the better, if not get one with your first mail responses.
You will soon compile an extensive mailing list. It can be very useful in your business, to start a new business, or for other businesses to acquire information from you.
When you send out these letters, you are in the mail order business. People are sending you $1.00 to be put on your mailing list. This is a legal helpful service. Once again see Title, section 1302 and 1341 of the US Postal and lottery laws.
Here are the 4 easy steps to success:

STEP 1:
Take a few minutes to join Paypal: Remember to VERIFY your account.
When creating your Paypal account make email address you used for Paypal on the list below so people can send money to your account.

STEP 2:
Once you have a Paypal account verified and running with at least a $6 balance, use Paypal to post $1 to EACH of the 6 Email Addresses below because you pay people with an email address in Paypal. Select "SEND MONEY".
What you are doing is creating a service. This is absolutely legal! You are requesting a legitimate service and you are paying for it!
Here are the 6 individual Email addresses that you have to send $1 to through Paypal for this to work properly and for you to receive money.
(If you don’t send the money and decide to post the message with your name in it anyway, Paypal will instantly pick this up and terminate your account, immediately, besides the other penalties!!) If you did this you could get into serious trouble because it is fraud. (So follow the instructions and post the $6 and you will make lots of money with no hassles.)
Now Send $1.00 to each of the six people on the list using Paypal, and in the comment (Subject) section type "Please add me to your list". Below are the emails that you transfer the money into:
This group of email addresses are Paypal IDs or usernames.
1.) ejgalowitch@hotmail.com
2.) geoffreyac@yahoo.com
3.) cresch2211@yahoo.com
4.) cheriepimentel@yahoo.com
5.) ibelig16@gmail.com
6.) peary@iprimus.com.au

STEP 3:
Now after sending $1.00 to each of the email placements above, take the #1 Email Address off the list, move the other Email Addresses up (6 becomes 5, 5 becomes 4, etc.) and add Your Email Address as number 6 on the list.

STEP 4:
Change anything you need to, but try to keep this article as close to the original as possible.
Now, post your amended article to at least 200 news groups (there are thousands of groups).
And email your message to as many people you can. Remember, the more you post and email the more money you make! This is perfectly legal!
You are getting paid for a service, the sender of the money asks you to “Please add me to your list”, Therefore it is legal. Remember to send a dollar to the above names or this is considered illegal.
If you have any doubts, refer to Title 18 Sec. 1302 and 1241 of the Postal Lottery laws.
Keep a copy of these steps for yourself and, whenever you need money, you can use it again and again.

PLEASE REMEMBER
This program remains successful because of the honesty and integrity of the participants and by their carefully adhering to the directions.
You are simply paying into a money making chain of participants and if the chain is broken you are screwing someone else out of their fair share.
So, as each person who joins the family and the directions are followed, six members will be reimbursed for their participation as a Mailing List Developer with one dollar each.
You then insert your Email Address into the list and it will move up geometrically.
So that when your name reaches the #1 position you will have potentially received thousands of dollars into your account!!!
What an opportunity for only a total of $6.00! $1 for each of the first six people listed above.
To begin with, please send you’re $1.00 to each email address listed above then add your own Email Address to the list and you’re in business!

HOW TO POST TO NEWS GROUPS:
Use the internet and searching for various news groups, ad posting websites, on-line forums, message boards, chat sites, discussions.
Log on any search engine like yahoo.com, google.com, altavista.com, excite.com, etc., then search with the subject "money making message board" or "classified ads"
You will find thousands and thousands of message boards and companies like Adblaster.com, InetGiant. com, LiveDeal.com, Adsubmitter.com
Click on them one by one and you will find the option ”post a new message”. Then Post this article as a ”new message” by highlighting the text of this letter and selecting copy then paste from the edit menu.
Fill in the Subject, this will be the header that everyone sees as they scroll through the list of postings in a particular group, click the post message button.
You’re done with your first one! It only takes about 60 seconds to complete postings on message boards after you catch on.

REMEMBER, THE MORE NEWS GROUPS YOU POST IN, THE MORE MONEY YOU WILL MAKE!!
But you have to post a minimum of 200!
That is it. You will begin receiving money in your account from around the world within days!
JUST MAKE SURE ALL THE ADDRESSES ARE CORRECT.

With an investment of only $6.00!! A – M – A – Z – I – N – G – !!
When your name is no longer on the list, you just take the latest posting in the news groups, and send out another $6.00 to Email Addresses using Paypal on the list, putting your name at number 6 again. And start posting again.

Copy and paste this letter to use for yourself.

This IS illegal. It is a pyramid scheme, and you could be in serious trouble if you set it up.

Would you ever regrete giving a friend a winning instant lottery ticket found out she/he won 8 million?

30th September

You stick an instant lottery ticket into a friends greeting card(birthday,Easter,Christmas whatever the occasion may be)your friend actually won and he/she kept their mouth shut about winning 8 million and wouldn’t give you jack. Would you regrete then ever giving her/him a WINNING ticket??

In this particular situation I would regret it. A true friend would gladly share with the person who gave them the ticket. At least I would.

Has anyone EVER done any good with these chain letter money making oppurtunities?

29th September

Ok- I may be very nieve or just desperately need some xtra cash… but I got to thinking about it and surely SOMEONE has got to be making money with these mass mailing (chain letter type system) or they (whomever wouldn’t be sending them out. Because after all we all know how much it cost to mail a letter these days….. Supposedly, they have been on 20/20 investigating team as well as Oprah… when I’ve tried to research this I seem to turn up no results…… Now, I’m no fool and I hardly doubt that anyone would ever make what they claim a person can… however a few extra dollars would be most helpful right now… But I hate to "chance it" and feel that the odds may be slimmer than actually winning the lottery.

I have hundreds of friends and associates……none of the guys/girls have ever made any money off these on line businesses…….if they did they would be talking about it and I would be in on it……….SCAM

Can someone tell me what the winning lottery numbers are?

29th September

For next week’s lottery drawing. 10 points for who gets it right.

lottery scam?

28th September

i received this thing in the mail from "Nova Financial Group"
it was a letter along with a check for $5000,
the letter says its a final winning notification
- it claims i am a "lucky" winner in the 1st and 2nd quarters of its lottery (its from germany, i’m in the U.S.)
i’m supposedly now entitled to the sum of U.S. $250,000
then the letter states my "batch/serial number" and a claim number..and a telephone number i should call for help to "further process my claim"
obviously its some sort of scam.
well the questions are:
how does the scam work? has anyone heard of this sort of thing?
cause from the letter i cant really tell how the people running the
scam would make money
normally they ask you to send money "to receive your prize"
thats not the case here, they just send a letter and a check
and theres no small print.
the name of the company is:
Nova Financial Group
Europe and North america
Wilheim Str.28
D – 60311 Frankfurt am main
Germany
um the other obvious question is:
if i cash the check what happens? like i said there’s no small print…and the check looks real enough

Well if you didn’t enter any contest local or foreign, you are not eligible to win anyway…

If you cash this check, you will owe taxes either in the USA or in Germany…
It could be added on to your income by the IRS…
You may also have to pay a gift tax…
Or like another said, buy items you never wanted…
I call it a hoax and tear it up and trash it or tear it up and send it back to them…
No one gets FREE money for doing nothing…

What is a suitable tip for the person who sold you the winning lottery ticket?

28th September

For the big prize, it is $12,000, which is the maximum you can give a person without either incurring gift tax consequences. The old number was 10k, which I doubt would be refused either. Then too, some places have policies that prohibit this, so catch them when they are leaving for lunch or home.

If I were to someday win the lottery, where are the places I could put all the money, and how would I do it?

28th September

Since I could probably not fit all of it in to one savings account.
This was aimed at the first answer, not the second.
Thanks for the nice wishes! Gosh! I said if? You just lost credibility on this site by making your percentage of best answers go down.

Actually, I think this is a great question. While your chances of winning the lottery are slim, having a solid financial plan allows you to integrate unexpected income (say, from an inheritance or bonus or even finding a $5 bill on the street) into a solid strategy that is aimed at accomplishing your goals and meet your financial obligations.

First, since the FDIC has eliminated its limits, you could put all your money into 1 bank account and the entire amount would be insured. So, you should know that. However, that’s probably not the best idea. There are tax sheltered vehicles available to everyone (not just lottery winners) and investment strategies that can potentially (though not necessarily) earn far larger returns than your bank’s savings account.

Also, I believe it would be a mistake to keep all that money as money. You could invest in real estate. You could give significant amounts of money to charitable causes. But don’t forget to treat yourself. If you won, you could take that trip or buy that big ticket item you’ve always wanted. With a good strategy (like a smart diet), you can treat yourself and not feel guilty.

Are there any good lottery programs for picking numbers?

26th September

Hello are there any good Computer Lottery Programs for picking numbers whether it’s for the Pick 3, Pick 4 or the Mega Millions or Power Ball. I’m not greedy. I would lik to win 100 Million. But would be more than satisfied with 300 extra a week from pick 3 or Pick 4.
I am in the U.S. Army stationed in S. Korea and am going to Texas in August and would like a way to make extra money without having to get another job..

In the lottery, there is a random draw. Random. How do you get an edge at this?

In every one of these posts, there is someone that suggests looking at historical numbers and looking at patterns. This is useless. You will find patterns in any set of numbers, but what you need to find are meaningful patterns. Patterns in a random draw don’t mean anything.

People always say "see what numbers come up most often." Think about this in terms of flipping a fair coin. You have a 50% chance of landing on heads. If you flip the coin ten times and they’re all tails, it’s still 50% to land on heads. You aren’t less likely to hit heads since tails has been more frequent, and you aren’t more likely to hit it because you’re "due."

If you want to make a little more money without a job, learn how to play poker. Sports betting is a possibility, but it’s way harder to do.

The claim is: That billions of the lottery money goes to………….???

26th September

The school!!!!…….. Then why the heck are they all closing?? And they are squeezing children into other schools and classes!! Which means less one on one!!!

MOST lottery funds go to pay the salaries of lottery employees – schools haven’t seen lottery funds for years …

Has money made you more happy? If you were poor in the past…?

25th September

If you were poor in the past, and one day you become very rich, either by winning the lottery, or by succeeding extremely well in your career with a very well paid job, or by making money on the stock market, or whatever way to achieve financial success….does the money really make you happier in your day to day personal life, with yourself or with others?

Does it only bring artificial happiness? (you are able to buy more stuff), but are you truly a happier person?

How?

Just curious, sometimes, when people are depressed over money, they always think the grass is greener in the rich people’s garden, but is it really?

I have never been rich but having gone from comfortable to struggling and back on the road to comfortable again, I have this to say…

It’s not about the things you can buy. It’s knowing that I can pay my bills (on time), feed my family, afford to go to the doctor, and not have to worry about some emergency being the straw that sends me into bankruptcy.

That kind of financial security brings a lot of peace of mind.
